We're Going Indoor: Rockford FC Joins MASL3

Rockford FC is going indoor. Starting this winter, the club will field a team in MASL3, the third tier of the Major Arena Soccer League system, for the 2026–27 season.
It's the biggest step the first team program has taken since joining the Midwest Premier League, and it means Rockford FC soccer no longer stops when the outdoor season ends.
What is MASL3?
MASL3 is the amateur and developmental tier of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), the top professional indoor league in North America. Teams play six a side on indoor turf surrounded by boards, so the ball stays in play and the pace never lets up. It's the same arena game played at the top level by MASL clubs like the Milwaukee Wave and Kansas City Comets.
Same club, new squad
The MASL3 team is part of the Rockford FC first team program under head coach Brett Suhayda and assistant coach Christian Bitangalo. The first team is open to players 16 and up with no upper age limit, and it fields a separate squad for each competition it enters. Our outdoor GCSL and MWPL sides will return in 2027, and tryouts for those will be announced ahead of the outdoor season.
